Essential Functions

Performing data collection, processing and analysis.Assisting faculty researchers and other collaborators in planning and designing research experiments; establishing priorities and recommending schedules, time tables and costs. Presenting project results to internal and external parties. Assisting in funds acquisition. Performing statistical analyses, including selecting the appropriate analysis procedure, setting up data for analysis, judging validity and reliability of data, designing and writing programs to perform analyses, and producing written reports on the result of the analyses.
Engaging in fieldwork and writing of technical publications and reports.
May involve supervising classified staff, graduate assistants, or student employees.
May be responsible for training staff, graduate assistants, or student employees.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for a creative and independent researcher with a PhD degree in a subject relevant to the research, such as Computer Vision or Machine Learning. We are especially interested in applicants whose research interests match the field in the job description. Experience with designing, managing and executing field experiments is a requirement.
Solid knowledge and experience of deep learning for the solution of computer vision problems is a requirement, as well as good programming skills. Publications in highly ranked conferences and journals are regarded as a merit.
The postdoc should contribute to the interdisciplinary team and implement algorithms in relevant (open source) software and programming environments (e.g., Matlab, R, Python). As you will be working in an interdisciplinary team in international cooperation with universities, research organizations and companies, we expect a pro-active and collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills both in presentations and writing.
